Stage 1 Building Work Completion Appeal

Match Campaign to raise funds for the completion of the Stage 1 Building Work

Bruce Stanley

August 29, 2022

Your donation will go twice as far! Thanks to a generous supporter, your donations will be matched up to $100,000 during August - October.

As we complete the first stage of major works at St Phil's, please consider how you might be able to contribute each week or month from August to October. This will not only be an immediate gain for ministry in Eastwood, but will also be of great value for future generations, securing a major step in the long-term master plan development and stewardship of the site.

The completion of the Stage 1 development of St Philip’s Eastwood includes two final parts:

1. A detention tank ($150,000)

The detention tank will be situated underground, behind the Children's Ministry Centre (CMC) close to Rutledge street. This tank will take most of the stormwater drainage for our whole site and is instrumental for the current and future development of the site. This needs to be the very next thing we do.

2. The carpark ($100,000)

The car park will be a little further excavated to provide the correct fall for drainage. It will then be sealed, and properly marked. It will be a fully functional car park!

This work together will make an incredible difference to our site and is part of the overall long-term site plan development.

Match campaign

The great news is that we have a generous donor who wants to encourage our generosity by offering to double every donation over August, September and October, up to $100,000. This means that every dollar you give to this project will be doubled by our sponsor. This will enable us to raise $200,000. We already have an existing $50,000 in the building fund for this work, so this final amount will enable us to complete all of this work (dependant on building cost changes).

Please consider if you may be able to give a one-off amount or a weekly amount for the next three months to this fund. It will benefit not only us but our future generations as we seek to care for the resources that we have been entrusted with for ministry in Eastwood.
