Bible Reading
Ephesians 6:10-20 reminds us that the battle we face each day is not against flesh and blood. The work of Satan in our world is always set against the plans of God. We must remember this and pray, turning our attention to the spiritual battle.
Major Works
- Ermington: Our "WestInvest" grant application for a redevelopment of the Ermington site is near completion and will be submitted in the next two weeks. Please continue to pray that under God, this application might be successful. Our thanks to the team involved in this detailed application process.
- Other work on the Ermington site is progressing. Electricity cables are now being scheduled for underground relocation. The playground plans have been finalised and we are soon to sign the contract for this and construction will then begin. The position was relocated slightly so as not to interfere with the future master site plan.
- Eastwood: Construction of the toilet block and access ramp is expected to be completed soon. Further delays have occurred but we do hope for completion in the coming weeks. Landscaping will then commence.
- Bells: No further progress has been made. The next step will be to approach Ryde Council for DA approval. We are still awaiting advice from the Sydney Diocese. No change from last month.
- Eastwood Stage One Completion: We have some big news to be announced soon about fundraising plans for this final stage. This includes the construction of a detention tank and the sealing of the carpark. Further details will be announced soon!
- Grants. Two further state government grants were lodged last month for playground shelters at Eastwood and Ermington to cover the playgrounds and the rear CMC deck. We await the outcomes for these.

Thanks Giving 2022
Our Thanks Giving 2022 service will be held on September 4th this year. We will finally be able to gather together again for our annual combined service! At the beginning of August, we will launch the special giving projects for this year, which include missions, building, ministry resources and training. Last year over $100,000 was given which has made a huge difference in ministry over these past twelve months. Stay tuned for the launch in August!
