Welcoming done well, is an incredibly important ministry. It plays a significant role in pointing seekers to the gospel, in meeting people’s pastoral needs, and in church health and growth. It is a responsibility that belongs to all of us. The problem with jobs that are everybody’s is that they often become nobody’s!
This training session is not only for our volunteer church welcomers, it is for all of us. Effective welcoming, is so much more than a hello at the door and the handing out of the service sheet. Be inspired through the lived experiences of others, why welcoming makes such a difference. Learn how to engage in welcoming as an ongoing process, so that people increase their sense of belonging to our community, and more importantly to God.
