A service mostly in Mandarin, with some English, especially for young adults whose main language is Mandarin, and second language is English.

A contemporary service in bahasa Indonesia.

Andrew Glover

Acting Senior Minister

Andrew is currently the Acting Senior Minister since our former Senior Minister, Bruce Stanley, moved to St. Paul’s Castle Hill. Andrew is also the site Pastor at St Mark’s Ermington. He’s married to Liz and has 4 married sons and 9 grandchildren. He was previously Rector of Gerringong Anglican Church for 20 years before pastoring an International Church for nearly 4 years in Cambodia prior to joining the team at St Phil’s & St Mark’s. On Sundays Andrew splits his time between the St Mark's morning and St Phil’s morning and evening congregations with particular focus on the English services along with Cathy and Micah. He & Liz both enjoy travel, music, movies, food, hospitality and conversation. Andrew loves motorsport, cricket and fixing things – particularly cars!


Christine Yang

Assistant Minister (Mandarin)

Christine pastors our Mandarin services with Lane, focusing on women's ministry and evangelism. Started to work at St. Phils in September 2017 one day a week. Increased to 5 days Pastor role in September 2019.

Christine completed her Bachelor of Theology at Sydney Missionary and Bible College in 2008 and went back to China in 2009, serving God in Returnees’ ministry as an International Mission Partner with CMS. She returned to Sydney in 2015 and worked with St. Phil’s Auburn and later with Church of Christ in Burwood. Christine also translated a number of books for Alpha course, including marriage, parenting and Bible In One Year. Christine was ordained by Sydney Dioceses as a deacon in November 2021. She speaks Mandarin and English.


Lane Sun

Associate Pastor (Mandarin)

Lane joined St Phil’s in November 2021 and pastors our Mandarin services with Christine. He is married to Jamie and they have three children - Hannah, Nathan and Esther.

Lane completed his Master of Divinity at Christ College / CTCA in 2018. Lane previously served as Mandarin pastor of GracePoint Chinese Presbyterian Church Bonnyrigg branch for 3 years. Lane speaks Mandarin and English.


Clarence Huin

Assistant Minister (Cantonese)

Clarence joined us in 2020 as the pastor of the 11am Cantonese service. He is married to Doris and they have two children – Nicole and Mitchell. Clarence completed his Bachelor of Theology at Morling College in 2014 and Master of Arts (Theology) at Moore College in 2020. Clarence speaks Cantonese, English and Mandarin.


Kian Holik

Associate Pastor (Indonesian)

Kian is the pastor of St Phil’s Indonesian Church Eastwood (SPICE, previously known as MITC), a new congregation at St Phil’s that specialises in reaching out to Indonesian students and community in Eastwood. At St Phil's church, Kian is also preaching at morning English services and organizes St Phil's mission prayer meeting.

Kian graduated with MTS (MA), from Calvin Theological Seminary in Michigan, USA. The Indonesian congregation meet at 11am every Sunday on site, and Kian is thrilled to meet you there. Kian is married to Liza, and they have two adult sons – Josiah and Joel. He speaks English and bahasa Indonesia.


Joe Hong

Joe is our Korean worship pastor for our 11 am Korean service which began in December 2019. Joe completed his Theological training at Hanyoung Theological University. He is married to Youngjin and they have 4 children.-Abigail, Jireh, Elisha And Faith. Joe speaks Korean and English.


Cathy Gravitis

Cathy commenced at St Phil’s in April 2022. Cathy is married to a Baptist Minister, Paul, and has two young adult children, Emma and Melissa.

Cathy has a background as a Registered Nurse. In 1998 she completed her Diploma of Theology at Morling Theological College, before serving as a church planter with Baptist Mission Australia in Thailand for 15 years. Prior to coming to St Phil’s, Cathy worked as a Pastoral Carer with Anglicare for 2 ½ years. Cathy's love for Jesus, people and pastoral care led her back to Morling College for further studies in 2020. In 2023 she completed her Grad Dip in Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care at Morling College and would love a friendly chat with you in either English or Thai!


Micah Beel

Micah is married to Sophall, assists in pastoring the 8am, 9:30am and 6:30pm English speaking services alongside Cathy and Andrew. Micah completed his Bachelor of Divinity from Moore Theological College in 2023.


Greg Burke

Associate Minister (Honorary)

Greg is married to Pat and they have three adult children. Greg joined the staff team as Associate Minister (Honorary) after retiring from full time ministry 2021. He has served in churches in Chatswood, Cambridge (UK), UNE Campus in Armidale, East Lindfield and Ryde. Before training at Moore College Greg worked as a Civil Engineer on freeway construction projects in Sydney.


Jason Smith

Children's Pastor

Jason is our Children’s ministry co-ordinator. He oversees all of the regular children’s programs, including our Sunday school programs and SPARK Kids Club. He also teaches and coordinates SRE at Eastwood Public School. Jason is married to Abigail and they have three daughters. Jason studied at Youthworks College completing his qualifications in 2011.


Bec Faggion

Youth Pastor

Bec joined us in 2023 as our part-time youth pastor (2 days). She oversees our weekly youth group Amplify and other youth ministries.

Swapping an admission into an Architecture degree for the completion of "Year 13" (Youthworks Discipleship Program) in 2012, was what lead Bec to a more 'people focused' vocation, beginning with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, later followed by a Graduate Diploma in Divinity (SMBC).

Ten years experience in Youth Ministry and a background in Disability Support Work are some of the tools she believes God has used to shape a passion for ability facilitation, empathy and evangelism in her so that young people might know and uniquely express the love of Jesus within the body of Christ for it's flourishing as part of God's worldwide mission.


Jo Lum

Jo began in late 2020 as our part time Children’s ministry assistant, helping Jason with the weekly children’s ministries at St Phil’s. Jo oversees the new 11am Sunday School for the Cantonese and Korean services. Beginning in 2023, Jo has also taken on the role as Youth ministry assistant helping our new Youth Pastor, Bec Faggion with weekly youth ministries. In 2016 she completed the Youthworks Year 13 Christian Gap year. Jo attends our 6:30pm English service and is also a youth leader.


Suzanna O’Chee

Suzanna began in 2020 as our part time Children’s ministry assistant, helping Jason with the weekly children’s ministries at St Phil’s. Suzanna attends our 9:30am English service along with her husband Milton and their 2 children – Jared and Wesley. Suzanna speaks English and Mandarin (and a few other languages).


Sharon Badman

Office Administrator (English)

Sharon joined the St Phils staff in August 2023 as our Office Administrator for English ministries. She assists the English pastoral staff with services, rosters, events, database management and other parish wide admin tasks. Sharon is married to Chris and they joined St Marks Ermington in 2021.

Erin joined the staff as Part Tim Admin assistant working 1 day a week. Erin is also involved in leading Jesus Club


Shawn Chen

Student Minister (Mandarin)

Shawn is married to Ningjia, and joined St.Phil’s in February 2022. They are part of the 5 pm Mandarin congregation. Shawn is now a student minister at our Mandarin services. He is studying full-time at Moore Theological College.

Shawn is from Xiamen, China. He came to study at the University of Technology Sydney in 2015.

After 4 years of study and work, Shawn spent the next 4 years, from 2019 to 2023, working at Credo, the AFES student movement at UTS, seeking to build relationships with international students, take care of them, and then share the gospel with them.

Shawn speaks Hokkien, Mandarin and English.
