The St Phil’s staff are a diverse team of men and women who seek to serve Jesus by helping the people in our community mature in Christ.

Bruce Stanley

Senior Minister

bruces@stphils.org.au

Bruce has been the Senior Minister of St Philip’s since 2015. He oversees the ministry of the whole Church, and also pastors the 8am, 9:30am and 6:30pm English speaking services.

Bruce is married to Heather and they have 3 children – Flynn, Jonah and Asher. He completed his Bachelor of Divinity at Moore College in 2001. Bruce previously served as Rector of Waitara Anglican Church for 9 years.


Jenni Stoddart

Assistant Minister (English)

Jenni is our Assistant Minister working with the 8am, 9:30am and 6:30pm English speaking services. She joined us in 2021. Her focus is on welcoming and integration, growth groups and encouraging ministry to and by women. Jenni is married to Andrew and they have one daughter – Audrey.

Jenni completed a Bachelor of Divinity at Moore College in 2002. She is completing a Doctorate of Ministry at Ridley theological college with a focus on understanding faith development. Jenni has previously served as an Anglican School Chaplain and Assistant minister.


Greg Burke

Associate Minister (Honorary)

Greg is married to Pat and they have three adult children. Greg joined the staff team as Associate Minister (Honorary) after retiring from full time ministry 2021. He has served in churches in Chatswood, Cambridge (UK), UNE Campus in Armidale, East Lindfield and Ryde. Before training at Moore College Greg worked as a Civil Engineer on freeway construction projects in Sydney.


Lane Sun

Associate Pastor (Mandarin)

Lane pastors our Mandarin services with Christine. He is married to Jamie and they have three children - Hannah, Nathan and Esther. Lane completed his Master of Divinity at Chinese Theological College Australia. Lane speaks Mandarin and English.


Clarence Huin

Assistant Minister (Cantonese)

Clarence joined us in 2020 as the pastor of the 11am Cantonese service. He is married to Doris and they have two children – Nicole and Mitchell. Clarence completed his Bachelor of Theology at Morling College in 2014 and Master of Arts (Theology) at Moore College in 2020. Clarence speaks Cantonese, English and Mandarin.


Robin Kinstead

Assistant Minister (Ermington)

Robin is the Assistant Minister at St Mark's Ermington since the parish amalgamation in January 2021. Robin is married to Sarah and they have two children – Nathaniel and Rebekah. He completed his Bachelor of Divinity in 2005 and Masters of Arts (Theology) in 2018 at Moore College.

Robin previously served as Rector of Christ Church Anglican and Mission Area Director on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and, most recently, as Locum at Pitt Town Anglican Community Church. He speaks English and is learning Indonesian. He loves mission, martial arts, music, and movies.


Christine Yang

Associate Pastor (Mandarin)

Christine pastors our Mandarin services with Lane, focusing on women's ministry and evangelism. Christine has worked around Sydney for several years and has more recently worked in Beijing with CMS and with the Alpha course. She completed her Bachelor of Theology at Sydney Missionary Bible College in 2008. She speaks Mandarin and English.


Joe Hong

Associate Pastor (Korean)

Joe is our Korean worship pastor for our 11 am Korean service which began in December 2019. Joe completed his Theological training at Hanyoung Theological University. He is married to Youngjin and they have 4 children.-Abigail, Jireh, Elisha And Faith. Joe speaks Korean and English.


Kian Holik

Associate Pastor (Indonesian)

Kian is the pastor of St Phil’s Indonesian Church Eastwood (previously known as MITC), a new congregation at St Phil’s that specialises in reaching out to Indonesian students and community in Eastwood. Kian’s other job is working with AFES at Macquarie Uni, reaching out to international postgraduate students.

Kian graduated with MTS, from Calvin Theological Seminary in Michigan, USA. The Indonesian congregation meet at 5pm every Sunday on site, and Kian is thrilled to meet you there. Kian is married to Liza, and they have two sons – Josiah and Joel. He speaks English and bahasa Indonesia.


Ningjia Wang

Office Administrator (Mandarin)

Ningjia is our office administrator for Chinese ministries at St Phil’s. She also assists with translation work. Ningjia speaks Mandarin and English and attends our 5pm Mandarin service.


Tiff Haywood

Office Administrator (English)

Tiff is our office administrator for English ministries. She assists the staff with services, rosters, events, database management and other general admin tasks. She is also our graphics designer. Tiff is married to Tim and attends our 6:30pm English service.


Jason Smith

Children's and Youth Minister

Jason is our Children’s and Youth ministry co-ordinator. He oversees all of the regular children’s programs, our Friday night youth group and youth small group networks. He also teaches and coordinates SRE at Eastwood Public School. Jason is married to Abigail and they have two daughters – Hazel and Olive. Jason studied at Youthworks College completing his qualifications in 2011.


Suzanna O’Chee

Suzanna began in 2020 as our part time Children’s ministry assistant, helping Jason with the weekly children’s ministries at St Phil’s. Suzanna attends our 9:30am English service along with her husband Milton and their 2 children – Jared and Wesley. Suzanna speaks English and Mandarin (and a few other languages).

Jo began in late 2020 as our part time Children’s ministry assistant, helping Jason with the weekly children’s ministries at St Phil’s. Jo oversees the new 11am Sunday School for the Cantonese and Korean services. In 2016 she completed the Youthworks Year 13 Christian Gap year. Jo attends our 6:30pm English service and is also a youth leader.


Anna Hoole

Student Minister (English)

Anna is one of our student ministers. In 2021, she commenced studying at Moore College to complete a Bachelor of Divinity. As a student minister, Anna assists Robin at St Mark’s Ermington on Sunday mornings and with other weekly ministries at St Phil’s. She was previously a ministry trainee here at St Phil’s and worked for the past two years as the writer/editor at CMS. Anna is married to Josh and regularly attends the 6:30pm service.


Josh Hoole

Student Minister (English)

Josh is one of our student ministers. In 2021, he commenced studying at Moore College to complete a Bachelor of Divinity. As a student minister, Josh assists Robin at St Mark’s Ermington on Sunday mornings and with other weekly ministries at St Phil’s. Josh has also participated in the Evangelical Union (EU) Howie program in 2019 and 2020, serving and ministering students at Sydney University. Josh is married to Anna and regularly attends the 6:30pm service.


Andy Feng

Student Minister (Mandarin)

Andy is one of our student ministers. He will study a Bachelor of Divinity at Moore College and will be assisting Lane and Christine with mandarin ministries at St Phil’s. Andy is married to Cindy and they have four kids – Alex, Annie, Arthur and Anya. He attends our 9:30am Mandarin service.


Julie

Training and Missions Facilitator (Indonesian)

Julie belongs to our Indonesian congregation (SPICE) where she still struggles with the language but loves the food and friendships. In the second half of 2021 she will be working part time to assist in leadership training and women’s ministry with SPICE. Julie spent a year in Indonesia in 2017, and returned to Australia to complete her M. Div at SMBC in 2019. She hopes to return to Indonesia in the near future.
