Giving

How members of our church can financially contribute to our work.

At St Phil’s, under God, our finances are provided nearly completely by contributions from members. We encourage all members to give generously, cheerfully, and as they are able.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver

Church giving pays directly for our staff, ministry resources, buildings, maintenance, and missions.

Regular Offertory Giving and Thanks Giving Offertory

Ways to give:

Online

We also encourage members to consider direct debit giving through their financial institution. This is a way that can assist us in being more regular in our giving. If you would like to give by direct debit, below are the details your financial institution will require:

  • Bank: Commonwealth Bank (Branch: Eastwood)
  • Account: St Philips Anglican Church Eastwood
  • BSB: 062 161
  • Account Number: 100 756 04
  • Description: Please enter the service you usually attend. e.g. 9:30am English or Thanks Giving

Tithely Giving

You can also give via card online using Tithely, an online church giving platform.

Giving Envelope: Cash or Cheque

Another way you can give is by cash or cheque. There are giving envelopes available in the church foyer and the offertory box is on the wall by the side exit in the main church and next to the main exit in the War Memorial Hall. If you would like to take a box of collection envelopes, please speak to one of the welcomers in the church foyer or our wardens.

Tap & Go

We now have Tap and Go machines in both the main church and War Memorial Hall. The giving amount is fixed at $50. Just tap your card to give $50 directly to our church account. The machine will “beep” to indicate you have made the transaction.

You can tap it more than once of course. If $50 is too much for you, we suggest considering using this method every second week or once a month.
