2025 / 2026 has, as always, been a year of continued change, challenge, adaptation and things to be thankful for! Thank you for your support and prayers!
St. Mark’s continues to consolidate and has seen a small growth in attendance and signs of potential growth along with a greater sense of members’ involvement in ministry. I also sense that awareness of our presence in our community is increasing.
We are profoundly thankful for decades of faithful service by our congregations, for some new members who have joined us and for the parish-wide partnership with St. Phil’s in ministry.
This year has seen significant initiatives, including the redevelopment of the toilet block and new equipment shed, a growing children’s programme (‘Kid’s Vibes’) including ministry to people with disabilities, a new one-day Kid’s Christmas Party event (similar to VKP) and Christmas letter box drop.
As we seek to be a ‘light to the world’ in Ermington we’ve also continued ‘T3’ each month, Christmas carols and a very positive relationship with Ermington West Public School for our SRE classes.
Thanks also to the wonderful team of builders who constructed the new toilets and equipment shed as well as the ongoing mowing and grounds care team – well done everyone.
Early this year we also farewelled Sharon & Chris Badman as they moved on to a new adventure. Thank you, Sharon, for your wonderful, generous, cheery and efficient ministry as our office administrator and both of you for practical, musical and spiritual ministries at St. Mark’s
Finally, please pray for
New families and retention of current families
Effective outreach and letterbox dropping especially for Easter
Faithful, enthusiastic and joyful partnership in ministry
Outward focus and connection with community
Thank you!
Grace and Peace,
Andrew Glover.
