A contemporary, family friendly service in Korean.

Modern Mandarin Service

A service mostly in Mandarin, with some English, especially for young adults whose main language is Mandarin, and second language is English.

Indonesian Service

A contemporary service in bahasa Indonesia.

Information about Anglicare's upcoming programs and courses

We support both the mission and social work of Anglicare. Anglicare is a Christian not-for-profit supporting people at all stages of life in Sydney, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Northern Inland.

Here are a few upcoming programs and courses that we wanted to share with you.

Introduction to Pastoral Care Course (IPC)

This is a great training opportunity to bolster your pastoral care! The five-week course has been developed with clear Biblical foundations. It seeks to develop participants’ capabilities in pastorally caring for others, while providing helpful resources to assist in their understanding and knowledge of pastoral care.

The Course Facilitator is Pip Russell. She has extensive experience in pastoral care and is a good communicator.

When: Fridays from March 3

Time: 9:30am – 2:30pm

Emotional Wellbeing Space (EWS) Online Groups

EWS runs a wide variety of emotional wellbeing programs and groups and also provides counselling. Our services are fully funded by the Sydney North Health Network (PHN) and are FREE.

Program available for people aged 18+ and living, studying, or working in Sydney North area - LGAs Northern Beaches, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney, and Ryde.

Here are some upcoming free online groups you can join:

Parenting Therapy Group

Parenting is a strange world full of myths, legends, legislation and (more recently) Youtube videos. In this 4-week Parenting Therapy Group, we provide a non-judgemental space to discuss your successes, frustrations and the continuum in between. We provide information about child development (so you know what is actually happening to your growing child), as well as communication and general parenting strategies to support you to have the best relationship with your child.

When: 28th February 2023

Time: 5.30pm (1 hour) on Tuesdays until 21st March 2023

Coping Strategies - Powerful Tools to Manage Mental Health

First session: Mindfulness of the Body: learn to become mindful of your bodily sensations.

Second session: Mindfulness of thoughts: Become aware of our thoughts, where they come from and learn how judgement impacts on you.

Final session: Mindfulness of emotions. Bring all you learned together for longer-term wellbeing.

When: 2nd March 2023

Time: 5:30 pm (1 hour) Thursdays for 3x weekly sessions

Motherhood and your new self!

Becoming a mother is complex and involves changes in all four dimensions of existence, the physical, social, personal and spiritual. Learn more about this transition and feel better prepared for your mothering journey.

First session: Physical dimension - Body changes begin in pregnancy. Explore what this means for you.

Second session: Social dimension - Explore how motherhood affects relationships with our children and others.

Third session: Personal dimension - Explore how your sense of identity changes with Motherhood.

Final session: Spiritual dimension - Explore how values, beliefs and sense of the world can change when we become a mother.

When: June (dates to be scheduled)

Time: 4x weekly sessions at 1 pm (1 hour)
