As a church, we aim to disciple people in Jesus' name throughout Eastwood, Ermington (and a bit more), with the goal of growing together into maturity in Christ. This means we prayerfully dedicate ourselves to proclaim the gospel and teach the Bible so that God can transform the hearts and minds of non-Christians and strengthen the faith and maturity of believers. Of course, this can only happen through the work of God's Holy Spirit!
God transforms lives by changing the thoughts and behaviours of those who are distant from Him. He moves them toward a life of worship, obedience, and trust in the Living Lord Jesus. We see an example of this transformation in the conversion of Saul (Acts 9:1-19).
This Sunday, we explore the latter part of Acts 9, where the Apostle Peter performs remarkable healings - healing a paralysed man and resurrecting a beloved disciple. Join us as we examine Peter’s significance in the early church and how we can embody the spirit of Christian service and generosity in our own lives. It’s a chance to reflect on how we, as followers of Jesus, can make a meaningful impact in our community.
All our ministry to our children's and youth commences again this week:
- Don't forget that this Sunday, kids and youth will begin in their program (and not in Church). This means that parents should check their kids in before coming into the church building. Pickup/checkout has remained unchanged.
- SPARK Kids Club commences again at 3:30pm on Friday 6th Feb
- Amplify Youth commences again at 7:15pm on Friday 6th Feb
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Yours in Christ,
Eric
