As we gather this Sunday, we will continue through to the center of the book, Acts 15. And as we consider what it means to truly be our part within the body of Christ, we also come together at 12:30pm for our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Just as every part of the human body is essential, every member of our church family plays a vital role in our shared mission across Eastwood and Ermington. One very practical way we exercise this ownership is through our AGM this Sunday. This isn't just an administrative event; it's a gathering where we celebrate what God has done, shoulder the financial and practical burdens of our ministry together, and elect the faithful servants - like our wardens, parish councillors, nominators and synod representatives - who work behind the scenes to hold our operations together.
To help us prepare for our time together, I encourage you to take the following steps:
- Read the reports: Please take some time this week to review the annual ministry and financial reports before we officially receive them at the meeting.
- Pray for our church: Ask God to grant us unity, and to raise up dedicated, qualified people to serve as wardens and parish councillors for the coming year.
- Attend and participate: Join us this Sunday to take your active place in the body, ask questions, and help shape our vision for 2026.
Jesus has given us a beautiful mission here in Eastwood and Ermington. Let’s not just watch from the sidelines - let’s own it together!
